A CHARISMATIC MASS will be celebrated at Triumph of the Cross, Holy Name Cathedral, in Steubenville, August 25th; beginning at 7:00 pm. Father Timothy Shannon will be the celebrant. Prayer ministry for healing and other needs will be offered following Mass. All are invited to attend. Refreshments following.
ANNUAL PARISH PICNIC ~ Plan now to reserve Saturday, August 13th for our annual Parish Picnic following the 4:30 Mass. Sign up sheet at both doors. The Sisters of Our Lady of Charity have graciously allowed us to use their pavilion again this year; however we need to do some clean-up work there first. We will schedule a work day.
“SHARING BREAD” VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ~ Our Lady of Mercy is scheduled to help on Monday, August 29th. Kitchen helpers should arrive by 2:30pm; servers at 4; and clean up helpers by 5:15pm. A sign-up list is by the front entrance. The Carrollton First Presbyterian Church and the Sharing Bread Program thank you for your help with this important local mission.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL ~ School supplies were collected for a community service project, “Love Thy Neighbor”, by children who attended vacation bible school at Our Lady of Mercy Church this summer. These items have been donated to Loaves & Fishes to help 15 – 20 children with supplies for the upcoming school year. A very special thank you to all children and their parents, YOU made the community service project a success!
