SOUPER BOWL OF CARING ~ Sunday, February 7th ~ It all begins with you! Join congregations across America in the movement that is transforming Souper Bowl weekend into the nation’s largest youth-led weekend of giving and serving. Last year $123.70 was collected and given to the Presbyterian Church for their “Sharing Bread” program which is served the last two Mondays of each month
THE LOAVES AND FISHES FOOD PANTRY ~ “Thank you for your contribution to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. Your gift of $600.00 is greatly appreciated and was used to assist needy families with holiday meat. God bless your generosity.” Shirley Lee, treasurer
HAITI ~ As you know the devastation in Haiti due to the earthquake has affected thousands of people. As Bishop Conlon has stated, “Once again, Haiti, the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, has experienced a natural and social catastrophe. An earthquake has caused the death of thousands of people and massive destruction of buildings. The situation cries out for our spiritual and material aid.”
In order to assist the Haitian people in their need the diocese of Steubenville will be taking up a collection in our parishes for this purpose the weekend January 23-24.We ask that you be as generous as possible.
