LOOKING FOR A WAY TO SERVE? PARISH COUNCIL NOMINATIONS ~ We presently have four members and four additional members (ages 16 and up) are being sought as outlined by the Pastoral Council Constitution. You may nominate yourself or others by placing the name(s) in the collection basket or by calling the parish office. (See attached Parish Council minutes for more information.) We plan to hold elections in early fall.
ALTAR SERVER DAY of RECOLLECTION ~ Saturday, August 21st from 9:00AM-12:30 PM at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Malvern. A pizza lunch will be provided. Mother of Hope Deanery will present a Morning of Recollection for all altar servers, presented by Mark Erste, one our diocesan deacon candidates. Mark has worked with youth of all ages and has trained altar servers in several parishes over the years. COME and learn how YOU can GROW in your SPIRITUALITY and help provide YOUR PARISH with a better worship experience while serving at Mass.

SHARING BREAD is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church on N. Lisbon St for those who need a meal or those who eat alone. The meal is provided by the Presbyterian Church the last two Mondays of every month. Our Lady of Mercy and other churches in our area take turns providing workers: two are needed at 2:30 for kitchen help, four servers who arrive at 3:50, and two come in at 5:15 for clean-up. This is a chance for you to serve in an outreach ministry. The date is Monday, August 30th. A sign-up list is in the back of church.
